Ambacare Exercise Classes

Ambacare is committed to offering the community every opportunity to improve their health & well-being.  With that in mind, and to compliment the therapies on offer in clinic, we are introducing small exercise classes taught by fully qualified instructors.  These classes have been chosen carefully to offer low impact, controlled exercise to build and maintain body strength and a relaxed mind.  If you have any questions about the different forms of exercise please don't hesitate to contact us.  If you have a particular condition or injury please feel free to discuss with your practitioner which form of exercise would be best for you.

We will do our best to meet community needs - if you are interested in a particular form of exercise that we do not currently offer, please let us know.  Similarly if there is any thoughts or comments you'd like to share with us please do not hesitate to be in touch.

Gentle Yoga by Susan Neal

Gentle Yoga is a general yoga class for people of all abilities, including beginners.  As the class is small, Susan is able to tailor her instruction to your personal situation and can assist and direct if back problems are an issue. (Susan is fully trained to instruct a yoga course specific to Healthy Lower Backs -see below)

Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs by Susan Neal


Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs (YHLB) is a 12 week evidence-based yoga course designed for people with general or chronic lower back pain.

Please note that it is fairly important that all 12 sessions are completed to get the most out of this course.  If you are keen to attend but have difficulty with committing to all 12 dates, please call to discuss.

Qigong for Relaxation & Stress Relief by Susan Neal


Enhance your wellbeing, health & vitality with this 6 week programme of ancient Chinese system of self-healing exercise. Will include: warm ups, basic Qigong stances, breathing exercises and the Daoyin stress relief form.

Yoga for You by Jackie Le Brocq


At the moment Jackie is taking classes elsewhere in Moffat.  Generally  Wednesday evenings at 6pm (and 7.30pm if sufficient demand).  Please ask at reception if you wish further details.

8 week courses generally.
